Context Planning - Tip #2 - Single Sign On
There are a couple of great features in the Context Planning tool that we would like to make you aware of.
This feature is a "Single-Sign-On" feature that will connect your Context Planning / Financial Planning profile with your Context Reporting profile.
Step 1 - make sure you have your user id/password for the Context Reporting system. You will need your valid user id/password in the next step. This step is ONLY meant to validate your user id/password and confirm that you are able to log in. Just an FYI, you will sometimes see this system referred to as "Orion" in the following steps (Orion is the software company that provides this technology).
Step 2 - Once you confirm you know your Context Reporting password, you will log in to the Context Planning system.
Step 3 - Once logged in, click on the five-pointed star in the menu bar. When you hover over the top of this menu item it will say "Orion Single Sign-On". See the screenshot below.
Step 4 - The first time you click on this icon, it will ask you to provide your user id/password from Step 1.
Step 5 - The next time you click on this icon, it will take you directly to Orion using a secure single sign-on authentication process.
It is worth noting that there is NOT a single sign-on process in the reverse direction (i.e. from Context Reporting to Context Planning). If you only want to remember one password, you should make it the Context Planning password.
This image shows how to kick off the Single Sign-On:
This image shows what you will see the first time you initiate the Single Sign-On. You will only be required to put in your password the first time.
